Hvar is the most popular Croatian island. There are quite a few good reasons for that. On Hvar the sun shines 2718 hours and 226 days a year. Through all of the island grow olive trees, lavenders, pine trees and vineyards. It has a long and rich history. For instance the city Hvar has the oldest theatre in Europe built in 1612.
