Kornati are a group of 125 islands mostly non-inhabited that stand southwest from the island Pašman and between Dugi otok (Long island) and Žirje island. 89 of them were in 1980 proclaimed as the National park Kornati. There aren’t any water sources at the archipelago that’s why the two springs in the Statival bay and on the Kornat island from which the archipelago got the name are most precious.
