What is the minimum age for a person to join?

Most of our participants are aged somewhere between 25 and 35 years. Minimum age is 18 years.

What is the ratio between men and women?

We are trying to maintain our maximum sex ratio at 60:40 in favor of one sex.

Do I need any sailing experience to join the Sailsation experience?

No. We have sailed several times with the whole team where no one had any experience with sailing and the participants were immensely enjoying sailing so, no worries. If you would like to learn about sailing, ask your skipper. He or she will be happy to show you and explain to you whatever you want to know. For all those that will want to learn more, our skippers will organize a short course of sailing.

How does the check-in look like upon the arrival in the marina?

Check-in will be conducted by your team skipper, so you do not have additional responsibilities in the marina (you only submit your valid passport or ID card to the charter). Soon after your arrival in the marina we will open the sails and start the unforgettable adventure.

Do I/we need to organize a Skipper?

On each boat there is a well experienced skipper from Sailsation team that is already included in the price. Skippers provided by Sailsation are experienced and highly qualified. So you don't have to worry if you have never sailed before.

What if we have our own skipper?

If you wish to have your own skipper, contact us at info@sailsation.eu where we will agree the conditions under which your team skipper can join Sailsation sailing.

What are the approximate additional costs?

Estimated additional costs depend on your choice of sailing routes and the amount of sailing and motor-driven transport. Based on our experience from previous years we calculated the average costs per person a week which covers all the marinas and moorings, boat fuel, security deposit, end cleaning and food for the skipper. It is estimated at approx. 100 EUR / person.

All other costs are associated with your personal budget and needs and are bound especially on needs for food, drinks and entertainment.

What if I cancel my reservation?

If you cancel a reservation before you have payed the first payment, then please let us know and we will cancel your application. If you've already paid any of the payments than we do not offer you a refund. More about the reservation cancelment read at our Terms and conditions.

When do the applications close?

We will accept your applications until the last 15 days before departure or till the moment when we can still provide a boat and a skipper. Later applications are available under different conditions.

How is the transportation to the marina?

How is with the food and drink? Do I need to buy my own food?

Usually, individuals and teams bring some food and drink with them. All other food and drinks is available to buy at stores in marinas and at locations that have stores. All the prices are usually lower than beverage prices in the EU.

On average Sailsation teams go out to eat a couple of time in a week. Local restaurants in Croatia tend to have lower prices than we are accustomed in other EU countries. Sailsation team will provide you with all the information about the best places to shop and eat.

Is bedding already on boats?

Yes, bed sheets will be waiting on the beds on your arrival and are already included in the price.

Is there a luggage limit?

There are no restrictions on luggage, however we recommend that you take a soft suitcase and a small backpack in total weight of not more than 30kg. You will receive the recommended list of things you need when going sailing by us in an email.
